Posted on November 24, 2009May 2, 2025 by Aspiring Polymath

Yet we are the movers and shakers
Of the world forever, it seems

Date: 21st Nov, 2009
Venue: Madawa Public School, Kachi Abadi, Sector I-11/4, Islamabad.
Time: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

According to prior checkups done by Islamabad City Lions Club, the sponsoring club of Islamabad Movers and Shakers Campus Lions Club (IMSCLC), the students of Kachi Abadi school were suffering from stomach diseases, mainly due to unhygienic lifestyle.

Islamabad Movers and Shakers Campus Lions Club (IMSCLC) felt the need to educate slum children about health and hygiene. The medium adopted by Islamabad Movers and Shakers Campus Lions Club (IMSCLC) to educate them was Clay modeling.

First the club members talked to the students about the importance of cleanliness. Then they showed them the ways to clean themselves. In order to make it an interesting experience with lasting effect, the students were asked to clay model toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, etc and demonstrate their usage. The session left the slum children more educated and delighted with their art activities.

The art activity was financially sponsored by Guiding Lion of Islamabad Movers and Shakers Campus Lions Club (IMSCLC), Lion Raheela Naveed.
